This book holds the reader. Even though the first chapter provided the ending, I had to read on to see how it happened. Due to my age, the characters in some ways were unbelievable to me, but I became involved in their lives and hoped somehow the young woman would become aware of the terror slowly surrounding her before it was too late.Product details

Excellently written, very pleasantly surprised
Absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I've also read The Bandaged Man by the same author, different writing style but an equally fantastic read - looking forward to his next book already!
Got this book for Christmas from my aunt and uncle, because i'll be leaving for Mexico in January for a field stundy on the Los Zetas for my master in Anti-Corruption Studies. Didn't know what to expect and started reading, and was swept away by - like the title says - by a whirlwind tale of dramatic love, mysterious lies and the ruthless Los Zetas! Wow, what a read! Great author, really captured Mexico and the flair of the country, I got itchy feet and cabin fever and can't wait to be in Mexico again. I really liked the protagonists, and the overall atmosphere of this vacation-thriller/social commentary.
